A few of you have asked about fall courses, so here's a description of the online cognate course:
Open Pedagogy and the 21st century educational landscape
This course explores the intersection of education, technology, and an emerging 'open' pedagogy. The course will begin with a survey of the history and idea of ‘open’, including a review of projects in Open Source Software, Open Access Publishing, Open Courseware, Open Data, and Open Educational Resource creation. We will explore how these projects have unfolded in various educational, non-profit, government, and research settings and examine the possibilities and prospects of applying these initiative’s methods to our own approaches to teaching, learning, and knowledge generation. Students will explore the changing nature of teaching and learning in today’s classrooms, utilize and critique emerging learning technologies, learn about the legal and policy considerations (e.g. intellectual property, privacy) surrounding open content, and engage in creating open resources as part of project assignments and collaborative activities.

Your other course, EDT 660, will be essentially an extension of your project work from the summer, with the goal of having the project ready, by the end of the semester, to pilot in some form.
